Ladies, we will meet-up on Friday, 2/16, from 1-3 p.m @ Panera.
As we continue to knit/crochet the newborns hats, preemie hats & blankies, we like to coordinate it with upcoming holidays. While will continue to collect Red newborn hats (for White Plains Hospital) through the end of February. We’re also making “Kelly Green” color newborn hats for St Patrick’s Day.
Ladies, we will meet-up this Friday, 1/26 – from 1-3 p.m. at Panera.
Note: Susan W. will be collecting all preemie hats & blankies. We’re also making Red Valentine’s Day hats for “Warm Hearts & Hats” newborn babies at White Plains Hospital. Lois is collecting those over the next couple of weeks.
Here is the Knit pattern Cheryl shared for the hats. As well, below are very good ‘how to’ youtube videos which show how to do the 3 needle bind-off referenced on the pattern.
Make in any shade of Pink.
Pussy Hat Pattern
Materials: #4 worsted weight yarn
Size 7 circular needles
Size 7 straight needle
Using circular needles cast on 100 stitches, place marker and join in round, taking care to not twist stitches.
K2 P2 ribbing for 2 -3“. Continue in Stockinette Stitch until piece measures 8-9”.
Finish with a three needle bind off. Place 50 stitches on each of two needles. Bind off through stitches on both needles at same time using third needle.
Two great youtube videos:

Both videos are by Joy Macdonell
