The Stitch & Bitch will meet-up on Friday, July 29th, 1-3 p.m. @ Panera.
Summer in full swing and some ladies are away or busy with Summer activities. I get asked each week, “are we meeting”? With a group as large as ours someone is usually around to stitch. I usually arrive early to claim our back table. If you arrive earlier (or I’m not there) just do the same.
The Stitch & Bitch will meet-up at our Panera, this Friday, 6/10, 1-3 pm.
Ladies, as a group we celebrate the best of times and rally around during challenging and difficult times. I’m writing, with permission from our dear Barb B. Over the past few weeks she has been dealing with a lot and coping with the nerve-wracking uncertainty involved with being diagnosed – in her case with Melanoma. It is early stage 1, the doctor said it is unlikely to have spread and they are taking every precaution. She is being treated at one of the best hospitals: Memorial Sloan Kettering. Surgery will be done early morning Thursday, 6/9. Please keep Barb, her doctors and her family in prayer.
Will keep you posted.
The Stitch & Bitch is heading to the yarn stores in New Jersey for the day on Friday, April 15th. Visiting not one but two yarn shops! Our Joan suggested Yarndevous which is located in Teaneck and on the way to LBY outlet.
We’ll have lunch at one of the area restaurants.
We need drivers for carpooling, so let me know if you’re willing to drive.
Three passengers to a car/SUV to ensure comfort for all passengers. A nominal $10 fee will be paid by all passengers to their driver.
Details to follow on pick-up location and carpooling.
We will meet-up at Panera this Friday, 12/11, 1-3 p.m
Bring in your hats/scarves, etc (for Children & Adults) for our “Lucille Project”. Donations will be going to the Women & Children’s shelter the week of the 21st. The items I’ve collected over the past 6 months will be going to another shelter for adults.
The “Warm Hats” (for newborns at the White Plains Hospital) – collected throughout the year by Lois.
The “NICU” (preemie hats for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital) – collected by Susan W.
The “Lapghans for Veterans” (lapghans for the Veterans at the Montrose VA home) – collected by Kathy F.
Ladies, we will meet-up on Friday, 10/23, 1-3 p.m. at Panera.
